Here at Gene17kayaking, we are all paddler’s of the modern dynamic style. We use a 3D understanding of the river’s energy and shape to find great lines and moves through the white water.

Gene17’s development of technique, where the lower torso is rotated throughout each stroke to ensure the most efficient power is put down, and the upper back is fully articulated to ensure the paddler’s box/form is maintained to give highly effective blade pressure at the critical moment. It’s the comprehension of what is possible, with the grace to pull off the move, and the ability to access the river’s energy that gives Gene17 the edge when coaching & guiding around the world.

G17 was born out of the ideal of adventure paddling; new places, new cultures & new rivers

Our staff are some of the best paddlers out there, the list reads like an honour roll of modern white water kayaking; champions, explorers and adventurers.  Above all our guides and coaches are great with people, they are able to show, relate and infuse paddlers to take on the challenge and live the paddlers dream.

Our mission is to take paddlers to some of the best destinations in the world, give them the skills from the modern dynamic style to paddle their boats down amazing lines. Plus off the river, we’re all about the adventure lifestyle.
