Nick Horwood – Safe and Fun Paddling for Soap Dodging Students!
University canoe clubs offer a fantastic opportunity for whitewater progression and adventure, and are some of the most active paddling communities you’ll find anywhere. Student paddling often comes with a steep learning curve, however, and getting out on the water maintaining safety and fun can be a real challenge with a constantly changing membership, and lack of financial support for clubs.

As a veteran captain, safety officer, coach, guide, and member of several university canoe clubs, Nick Horwood will be offering a workshop specifically for student paddlers, with advice and practical solutions to help you run fun student paddling trips in safety.

Whether you’d like to know more about group and trip organisation, tactics for safe river running, the principles of coaching beginner paddlers, this interactive workshop will offer a variety of practical tips, and will be tailored to your needs…
Pyranha’s Dan Butler, will present an outfitting clinic at the Pyranha Pop-Up Tent
