Do you want to sharpen up your paddling?

No-one improves by being bombarded with facts from a million different directions or by using flatwater strokes in a dynamic, three dimensional white water environment. You need a flexible, dynamic and focused course to produce a flexible, dynamic and focused kayaker. Which is what we’ll give you

A Gene17 course is more than a syllabus. Sure, we’ve got loads of things to show you, but they don’t just come from ‘assessment syllabi’ or ‘recommended course contents’. They come from our years of experience on the water, all over the world

Whatever the course, our aim is to make you a better paddler. Or a better coach. Or both. Steep creeking, fundamental white water or coach training, we’ll show you the river as a dynamic and changeable environment so you can learn to be a dynamic and changeable paddler. D4DR River Pro – Intensive Development Programme
Rafting on Sjoa“D4DR” the Adventure Gene, whether you have it or not, our intensive development programme is for those wishing to learn to paddle.
Our 2 week programme is built around 3 core areas; Raft Guide Training, Incident Management and River Leadership. We’ll train all comes from absolute beginners to experienced kayakers to become river professionals. Over the 2 weeks we’ll focusing on the hard skills needed to guide a raft, river rescue techniques with a WRT course as well as incident management with a REC First Aid course. All based at the Sjoa Kayak Camp, home to some of the best and accessible white water in Europe. Further details to come
