| The summer session is aimed at paddlers who want to experience the Bitches, increase their big water paddling experience, hone their play boating skills, or just take in the scenery in one of the most dramatic places in the British Isles.
Just off the beautiful and craggy coastline in West Wales lies The Bitches; one of paddling’s most fascinating spots. Here a mass of water is squeezed between the mainland and an island about a mile out to sea over a volcanic rock reef. At high tide water surges through the sound creating one of the most spectacular tidal races for whitewater kayakers anywhere in the world. At the right tide, water flowing over The Bitches creates one of the best white water paddling locations in the British Isles, offering a mix of waves, holes and currents to play in, including a giant glassy green wave known as ‘The Front Wave’ |
