The FESTIVAL PASS includes all the happenings, camping throughout the festival, the 2012 Festival Tee and a great time, of course.

Outdoor Movie Night: when the day turns into night, it’s time to gather around the Camp and enjoy some big screen kayaking action. This year we have the Bombflow Team at Sjoa, who will delight us with their action movies. Don’t miss it! Friday 13.7 around midnight
Shop til you drop at Strie Strømmer Thursday July 12th at 18.00. Food served outside the shop, before the shop opens up for a couple of hours of VERY SPECIAL deals.

COMPETITIONS

The FRIG Freestyle Jam starts the festival off on Tuesday, followed by the Pyranha ole School Rodeo on Wednesday at the Faukstad Hole. And on most evenings we’ll have the Palm Throwbag Olympics at the Sjoa Kayak Camp.
We’ll run a selection time trial on the Thursday late afternoon for both the Sweet Rumble and Gene17 Ula Extreme Race. Also on Thursday, Sweet will run a Training Day for ladies who wish to race.
The Gene17 Ula Extreme Race, a sprint down the famed Ula slides finishing at a waterfall is Friday’s fun.
Sweet Protection invites you to a knock out fight on the river! We celebrate the Sweet Rumble with a fierce yet fun competition. It’ll be great to watch, and even better to race on. Fight Club in a kayak on Saturday.

We’ll run a range of paddling clinics and kayak lessons at the Sjoa River Festival. Sign up for the Steep Creeking Technique, River Leadership & White Water Skills throughout the Festival, with Gene17kayaking’s leading coaches and instructors to show you the way, and share their lines with you.
The Gene17 Clinics will be on a host of local runs, with the likes of Jakub Sedivy from Czech and Simon Westgarth and Jake Holland from England amongst others leading these trips which are again scheduled for Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday during the Festival..
